It was announced Obama is speaking in Athens next week.  Will he call us the Buckeyes as so many make the mistake of doing?  If his campaign managers are on top of things, he will get a dig in on Ryan for attending M!@$!

More likely he'll mention our (hopefully) unbeaten football team and our sweet 16 run, and that Athens County was 2nd to Cuyahoga county of the 88 counties in Ohio in highest percentage of Obama votes in '08, 67%.

Obama to Frank: "You didn't build that."

Not political, just being funny :)

20 yrs ago, Ohio alum David Wilhelm was head of the DNC and probably would have made sure the prez got it right.  The present DNC chair is from Florida, so who knows.

Hmm, if the preceding two posts were shots at Romney/Ryan, the Mullahs would already have deleted them.

You could have heard a pin drop when one of the college political groups paraded past during the parade. The other drew a smattering of cheers. Given that we were in athens, I was quite surprised which group got the cheers and which got nothing.
