USA Today now lists the starting time for the Kent game as 8:05 p.m.  Haven't seen any confirmation of that anywhere, though.

Not sure where they got that as Kent still has the game as TBA. I assumed we would get the 11 AM ESPNU slot like we usually got the day after Thanksgiving.

If we are still undefeated, this wouldn't surprise me at all.

Kent State's remaining MAC schedule is WMU, Akron, @MIami, @BGSU. They can lose one of those games and still go to Detroit with a victory over an 11-0 Bobcat team. (let that one marinate for a minute)

It's a very real possibility that  we could be playing an 8-3(6-1) KSU team for all the MAC East marbles. That would be some must see TV.

I believe that Kent is over achieving right now and I would expect them to come down to earth over the next 5 games.

I wouldn't be so quick to say so. They're experienced, they've got talent and it looks like they've got the right coach in place now. That UK game was a bit of a mirage, they are a lot better than that loss. This is going to be the hardest remaining game on the schedule and that includes Miami.

I remember sitting in the stands in Kent that day...it was cold, windy, and one of the most miserable days I can remember at a football game. The salt in the wound was the Fiami fans who drove up from Oxford dressed in their garb laughing hysterically as we handed them their MAC Championship.

Yep.  Pretty sure that's just an error.  The MAC has the 11a ESPNU slot that day, and potential for ESPN3 windows.  Assuming that will be an important game, I'd expect it to get the highest-level slot we have available, which sadly is 11am.

ESPN that night has Arizona State @ Arizona at 10pm, meaning the earlier slot will be 6:30 or 7.  There are two games slotted that day for ESPN in prime or ESPN2 at noon, so that window is out.

ESPN2 has Old Spice Classic at 7:30, and Las Vegas Invitational at 9.

ESPNU has Anaheim Classic at 6 and 9:30.

This game absolutely defines "unfinished business".  I believe that getting to Kent unscathed and in one piece is the scary part.

They have Western at home, BG and Miami on the road.  Let's pull for 1-2 or worse for them in these games!

While my first reaction is to root for them to lose as many as possible so we may back into the MAC should that which we fear the most happens, I desire revenge.  I want this game to count for them.  I want it to count because I want those players that were there that are still with us today to remember it, and remember it well.  I want revenge.  I want to rob them what they robbed from us two years ago.  I want to be there to watch their fans watch in agony as we take from them a victory and with that victory a trip to the MAC championship.  I want the MAC to know who owns them and that is accomplished by beating every team that is at their peak.

heck yeah, I hope they run the table,. I want to win the MAC East against a ranked 10-1(7-0) Kent State and then win the MACC against a ranked 11-1(8-0) NIU. Do that and we'll be BCS bound fo sho.

Even with a 10-1 Kent State team playing an 11-0 Ohio team, we couldn't get a better time slot that 11AM?

So in your plan there are 3 MAC teams that are ranked?  While we're dreaming I also want a pony.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind the 11AM Black Friday start?

Most people are off work that day, you're at home relaxing after the huge meal the day before. there's nothing else to do but watch football.  Plus, what other television are we competing with at 11AM? The Price is Right? A lot less competition at 11 than in primetime.

Go out at 5AM, buy a nice, big TV and have it set up with before kickoff.

And for those of us watching the game in person, we all know how bitter cold it can be in the daytime, let alone at night.

No. Our best bet for a better kick time is to lose out so they don't put the game on TV.

Or we can put the eyepatch on and deal with it.

Am I the only one that thinks a lot of people are getting way ahead of themselves?  Weren't we the ones that said let's just 1-0 each week?  Let's forget Kent for now and beat Akron.  The Kent game is so far down the road that in all honesty, I can't even see it yet.

Actually, my dream would have 4 MAC teams ranked, Toledo's record would be tied with KSU. And my hairline would revert to its Clinton era form and there would always be a Burrito Buggy at the end of my driveway that sold Pub Aquariums too.

The objection isn't to the logistics of watching the game on TV. The objection is based on memories of the last time we played at Kent at 11am on black friday.

I wish they'd go back to playing games like this ON Thanksgiving. I love to watch football on Thanksgiving Day, and my only two choices are the Lions and the Cowboys--neither of which do I care about. What happened to rivalry Thanksgiving Day?

Its one of the top 5 worst Ohio games I've ever witnessed.  And, that's saying a lot.  I forced my father-in-law to go to the game with me.  I'm not sure he's ever forgiven me.  That game is one of the reasons I tell everyone who asks me not to believe the hype about our current team.  There is almost no such thing as an upset in the MAC.

Anyway, definitely some payback in order.
