I knew Texas A&M is a solid (if not great) football team, but they are just flat out embarrassing our biggest mid-major threat to go undefeated (21-0 at the moment). LA Tech looks sloppy, slow, and in over their heads. I know Penn State is no where near as good as Texas A&M but judging by this performance do you think they would have beaten Penn State in Happy Valley? I doubt it.

This game is ugly. La Tech has some head hunters on defense. That was a crazy hit on the A&M receiver.

We should really focus on our own schedule rather than worrying about stuff like this.

Our schedule's about to get considerably harder, and every team left on it is saying, "Ohio... Seriously??"

The teams have to also be thinking "they only beat (insert hapless MAC cellar dweller) by less than one score and we beat them by 30." As just one example, the NIU team we hope to meet in the MACC squeaked past Buffalo by 42 today.

I'm not saying that the Cats don't have problems of their own, obviously this is the case (just look at the secondary). As you pointed out Northern Illinois beating down the Bulls, not too mention that crazy UMASS game. However, it's always fun to think how Ohio looks compared to any other 'solid' mid major.

that Hurricane really screwed LaTech, they would have had a better chance in week1.. and it doesn't help that the two announcers are praying for a way for modern science to give them the ability to be impregnated by A&M's QB.

HA! That literally made me laugh out loud. What did they call him? Mr. Johnny Football? I don't know but it was classic low grade ESPN game caller fodder focusing on one semi-interesting player the whole game.

Now 46-44.  After being up 27-0, A&M looking to piss it away.

Penn Wagers (Potato Bowl) is the ref.

Will he somehow blow it?

EDIT: Nope. As I type this, TAMU puts in the kill shot.

EDIT EDIT: so much for kill shot, 59-51.

Yeah every time you think A & M puts it away, they give up a big play. Also, if I hear Johnny Football one more time I just may puke.

Also shows that there aren't many good defenses out there.

THIS is where margin of victory matters, not games against bottom dwellers. By only losing by 2 LaTech will likely fall out of the top 25 but not nearly as far as if they were routed. I can see a 11-1 LaTech team being ranked in the top 25. Probably even sooner.

Twice this weekend, ESPN talking heads used the phrase "the last hope for a BCS buster" to describe La Tech. Odd and unnecessarily premature , especially considering Ohio will have its final four (possibly five) games on the ESPN family of networks.

Since they came back from 27 down to lose by only 2 to a well-respected AQ school in a game that had 116 points, I don't expect them to fall out of the top 25.
