Why are so many of you fixated on Tettleton running? Yes, it's a good thing if we need it. IF. We do not want him running as part of our regular offense--espec when we can put up 37 or 38 and win without him running.
See the Beefs back-up qb. He got hurt just trying to pass. Without purposely trying to run, he got hurt. Why risk further injury by making Tyler run?
Yes, it's great that he's elusive and can run a bit when he needs to. But to expose such a difference-maker for us to possible injury is something that we should avoid unless a strong need arisis. You think Coach wants to run TT?
Beau and Boyken and Daz give us plenty of running. Now, if you want to put two of these guys on the field at the same time, then I'm in.
So Central Michigan shouldn't have caused defenses fits by making Dan LeFavour be one dimensional? Or Chandler Harnish even with outstanding running backs should have just handed off and made a toss once in a while instead of wracking up yards from his position? Florida would have been so much better if Tebow had taken it easy.
The offense is geared to have the QB take off, that's why TT is known as a duel threat type of guy. TT didn't show me that he is a top rated pocket passer Saturday; the offense becomes so much more dangerous when he is back there and then goes right up the middle for 6-8 yards. It probably makes a linebacker have to Mark him meaning that the tight ends even have a greater opportunity to romp.
IMO at two touchdowns up, Vick should have gone in to the game on the final drive. 2 reasons, avoid injury to TT and add that other dimension while giving the lad experience when it was still somewhat critical to protect the ball and burn clock.
