The problem with the marketing department running the O Zone, is that the Convo is a revolving door for employees. We had a different marketing member lead us every year that I was on the board.

That being said, its really not that complicated. We're talking about running a cheering section, not a fortune 500 company. Create a shirt, plan some bus trips, make some cheer sheets, and give away some food and people will be happy.

We did all of that minus the bus trips.  The cheer sheets happened, but were inconsistent.  The marketing printer has probably been around since the time Bobcat Love was in Athens.  That thing is out of order every other home game.

Plus it took a solid 2 months of me nagging for someone to show me how to use it.

FWIW, I think marketing moved in the right direction last year.

I'm glad that after 4 years of being on this campus the O-Zone has finally done something! Let's be honest though, you did something for one game. You will shut up the haters after you complete a season of having a great student section. Start learning how to travel, and then maybe we'll be quiet. Also, take this momentum into basketball season because the O-Zone was anemic last season.

OZone has been around since AT LEAST my freshman year (2001). 2012-2001 is equal to more than four years.

So we decided to spend our AP top 25 ranked bye week bitching at each other.

Good grief.

This was in result to the bitching that was done at the O Zone in the weeks leading up to our AP top 25 rankings.

This whole thread is silly.  Let it be and please, just stop complaining about everything.  I hear enough complaining on Facebook and television talking about Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber and who will lead 'Murica into the Apocalypse. My stupidity tolerance is at an all time low.  I come here to escape the stupidity, but this thread ruins me every time I get on BA.  Cheer for Ohio and quit playing the blame game.

I blame all of this on Tweedle Dumber.

THIS. This is all that any leadership of something like this can realistically accomplish. The rest of the gripes that semi-annually appear here will basically NEVER change.
