Also, bask in the fact that our football team and basketball team are both ranked in the most recently published polls (one AP, one Coaches as the AP has no post-tournament poll for BB).

The off week could not come at a better time!!!
We are in the Top 25 and we get to regroup for a week to get our defense back in track.

What a momentous day! That little number that will reside beside Ohio's name carries power.

A really great day.

Chills seeing that ranking!

Also, while Frank the Tank has the football program in the Top 25, Jim Christian is building a monster with a HUGE Commitment today!

It's ALWAYS a great day to be a Bobcat, but today is especially SWEET!

Jason Arkley made an interesting point on Twitter. Since the 1968 ranking came at the end of the season, this might be the first time in program history that Ohio goes into a game as a Top 25 team.

And the ranking could still go bye-bye next week if they move someone else ahead of us, meaning we don't go into the game ranked.

Just about to say the same thing.  That doesn't guarantee that we'll be ranked following the Bye Week.  And also the Bobcats were ranked 15th on December 2, 1968, which was the last poll before the Bowl Season.  So they were ranked coming into the 1968 Tangerine Bowl.

I'm confused. I thought we weren't winning by enough points to be ranked. Did these morons voting know what they're doing? Did they consult us?

I'm just happy for the university as a whole and most notably for those fighting the athletics fight.

I couldn't be more happy for EVERYONE associated with Ohio athletics. There are a lot of people, outside of the football team, who have made this day possible.

For a mid major to land their basketball and football teams in the top 25, is an absolutely amazing accomplishment. Let alone to even think about doing it in the same calendar year.

I hope people don't spoil the ride for themselves. What I mean by that is there seems to be way too many people caught up in the details. While the team certainly needs to improve, there are times in life when you have to ignore everything else and just smell the roses. This is clearly one of those times.

Top 25 in football and bball in the same year! This has to be unprecedented. Enjoy this day (and this season) OHIO fans.

Ralph Russo of the AP mentioned that the last time an Ohio football was nationally ranked, a man had not yet walked on the moon.  Nice write-up.

Being a firm believer in skepticism, this comes as a pleasant surprise.  Congratulations to the team, the coaches, the athletics dept, the administration, the fans and all Bobcats everywhere.

Also, we're 27th in both the Coaches and the Harris polls.

And, NIU and Toledo are tied for 36th in the Coaches poll.  When was the last time three MAC teams showed up in the same football poll?

Hi, incoming freshperson of the classes of about 2013-2009.  You'll be rooting for top 25 Ohio football and basketball.

Don't look at me like I'm crazy and, no, I'm not kidding.

I won't even try to convince you classes of 1970-2008 that this is possible.

Looking at the off week schedule, I do not think that we will get bumped. ASU will probably get smacked by Oregon and I don't think TCU winning over Texas Tech at home will boost them enough to jump us.  If it does, Tech coudl slide out.

Teams in danger in my mind this coming week are Cinci at Toledo and Michigan at MSU.

Question posed by a Miami fan on MiamiHawkTalk.com. How are they feeling in Nebraska? Nebraska now out of the Top 25 and Ohio/Solich in,  I know coach does not have time for this, but, a moment of satisfaction is in order.  Congratulations.
