With OHIO off this week I will definitely be rooting on the Rockets Saturday night. If Toledo wins, the MAC really wins.  For one, it would make it MUCH more likely that the MAC Championship has two ranked teams going into.  How awesome would that be, especially considering that  the ACC, Big Ten, and C-USA are quite likely not to have two ranked teams in their game.  Heck, even the PAC-12 might not.

While this is definitely getting ahead of ourselves, a win by Toledo would go far to legitimize this conference, or at least the few teams at the top.

If Toledo wins against UC, it's going to be kicking itself for that OT loss to Arizona. Those two wins would have it in the Top 20 and a potential BCS buster itself. Should be a nice, big crowd at the Glass Bowl, too.

I agree that we should be rooting for both Toledo and Kent St. to win over Cincy/Rutgers.  If Toledo and Kent can win, what a smackdown of the MAC over the Big Least.  Also, it would knock 2 of the BL's 3 ranked teams hopefully from the Top 25 and should seriously boost the MAC's standings in the polls.  For me, I will be rooting for victories for both Toledo and Kent.  Finally, I hope Kent wins out til we play them.  What a showdown that would be.  Hopefully, both we and Kent would be in the Top 25.  That would be crazy!

This was tweeted by The Blade's Toledo beat writer Ryan Autullo:
What do Arizona's and Eastern Michigan's football teams have in common? Not much, I suppose, except both ran up 624 yards against Toledo.
