You can't find Sports Illustrated anywhere in Jackson, OH.  I was in Portsmouth on business yesterday and nobody carries it there, either.  Athens may be the only town in Southeast Ohio where you can actually buy it on the newsstand.  Amazing.

In years past, SI was pervasive, carried in many outlets.  What happened?

Is it literally the unavailability or are they just sold out?

I have not had a subscription for probably 20 years and normally only skim the magazine at the gym on occasion while on the treadmill.  At a cost of nearly six dollars when I purchased this weeks magazine, I imagine that many markets have trouble selling the magazine on a weekly basis.  I would imagine this is in part due to the economy and "real time" information and pictures on the internet.

I was in Jackson about a week ago and they had it at WalMart. It would be great if they sold out. Something that could really help the university is surrounding towns jumping on the OHIO bandwagon.

I've been to 2 CVSs, 1 Walgreens, and a couple local convenience stores.... I'm going to try Whole Foods today. I don't have any Wal-Marts near home or work and don't own a car, so that's not an option.

I may have to wait until my doctor's appointment next week to read it.

Thanks.  I'll check Wal-Mart.

Barnes & Noble had it for me in the Springs. Couldn't find it at Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Safeway or the local Kroger brand.
