700 WLW is a 50,000-watt  flamethrower that can be picked up in many states. Frank will be on with Lance McAlister tonight at 8:05 on SportsTalk.

It's 8:13. Paging Frank Solich. Tired of hearing McCalister drone about the Yankees.

I'm getting tired of hearing the same old story about how we were a hopeless program.  We've been competitive for several years now.  Let's focus on now and the future, not our past challenges.

The last half-hour turned into a Bobcat love-fest. I'll see if I can get a podcast.

Damn, listening to that segment just cost me $40. Of course Lance had to mention "Bobcats at the Ballpark".

Here's the podcast, Frank starts around 6:24. I thought Ted from Waynesville was particularly fantastic at the 15:00 mark.

That point that Lance was making about Ohio grads coming out of the woodwork is so true. When we had the watch party at O'Bryons for the NCAA tournament this past spring, you would have thought there was an entire graduating class of Bobcats in the bar. I dont know where they come from, but I'm glad to live in an area that supports Ohio in droves. Now, if we can just get them to put that Ohio shirt on before the Xavier, UC or Ohio State shirt we'll be in good shape.

Ohio alums have always had so much pride in this school, we just needed to win to pull it all out...  Not only have we won the past couple years, we have done it in style.  Following up a Sweet 16 run with our 1st ranking in decades is just ridiculous.

Thank you Frank, and thank you McDavis.

I loved how Lance came in and said "I am beginning to believe we have underserved #bobcatnation."

Don't laugh-I wear my OHIO lanyard every day at work and at least once every two weeks I get a shout-out from somebody in our building "Go Bobcats!"

Like I tell my wife (a fellow alumnus whom I'm always trying to get as "Ohio-geeked" as I am but with not as much luck), we're everywhere!!!!!

One of the things I've always loved about Ohio is the camraderie and special bond that we all share. I have friends who just don't understand what it is about Ohio that makes it Ohio. People who graduate from OSU, Kent State, Akron, or other schools around the State seem to not have the same experience as we do. At least that's been my perspective from my friends that I've talked to about it.

One of my Xavier friends said it best: "I just imagine OU as being this place with sunshine, rainbows and bunnies everywhere. You people talk about it like its the greatest place on Earth."

Well yeah...it's something like that.

I definitely agree that we share a special bond that most alumni from other schools don't have. I live in Davenport, IA now and have an OHIO tire cover on the back of my jeep. Just the other day I had a 15 minute conversation with another OU alumni about life and whatever else. I didn't realize until I graduated in 2011 just how wide spread our Alumni association is. I LOVE IT!!

I'd like to reiterate everything you guys have said. Here in Philly we have a good number of Bobcats and droves turned out for the Sweet 16 gamewatch. My girlfriend, who is not an Ohio grad, is now in love with the campus after visiting only a few times. There is no place on earth quite like Athens, Ohio.
