Really?  We haven't covered that spread in the last three games against three teams that are below Fiami in the standings, two of which were at home, and you think we are easy money?

I thought so to at first glance and I've picked our opponents the last 3 games and won. I just have a gut feeling this week that we really shine and win by 2-3 touchdowns. Much like I have had a gut feeling the past 3 weeks that we would struggle to get the W.

It's all up to our Defense. If they step up, we win big. If not, it's gonna be a tight one. Are we getting any key guys back on D this week? They are in definite need of some type of help.

Plus we need to play a FULL 60 minutes and stop taking a quarter off.

I think having the bye week to rest will be key, plus as of late we have played well against Fiami.

Admittedly though, I'm no expert.

Agree! We need to step on their (metaphorical) neck early and not let off the pressure until their rigor mortis fades out, just to be sure.

I'll take Rutgers to cover.  Kent's record looks nice, but look who they've played.

And, they were smoked by Kentucky.  Rutgers is better than Kentucky.  I see a blowout coming.

1 Pt favorite? After losing 9 players to transfer, getting shut out in three quarters to some crappy MAC opponent at home and lousing to a  lousier ACC team--1 pt favorite, who they playing, Ohio Northern?  It certainly cannot be a highly respected opponent considering PSU wasn't expected to win three games after their start.

Obviously I want a "W" .. but given recent performances by us I stay away from taking us at Miami with that spread.

Maybe we get Scott and Moore back and others dinged up are closer to 100%. Even so, Miami will be waiting for us and we better bring our "A" game.

As I said in the game thread - GET THE DAGGER OUT, and DON'T BE AFRAID TO USE IT! EARLY, and OFTEN!

If Eastern Michigan can beat Army by 10, I think Ball State should be able to beat Army by at least a touchdown, even on the road. Toledo shouldn't have any trouble with Buffalo, but the Rockets only won by five at Eastern Michigan and have been so-so at best on the road. Then the one that stands out the most: Northern Illinois should be able to win at Western Michigan by more than a touchdown. The Broncos were pretty bad last week at Kent State. NIU has been a good road team, aside from almost losing at Army but that was the second game of the year.

I'm one that thinks Kent State is going to pull the upset.  Their most impressive victory so far was a 45-43 win over Ball State.   Of all the games left on Ohio's schedule BSU has me the most worried.  They have a very good football team this year.  They've beaten a B1G team and a BE team.  Yes, the B1G was Indiana, but look at the scare IU put on A&M two week ago.   And USF is no giant-killer either and has a horrible record, but they've played close in most of their games, losing last week to Louisville by two, 27-25.  On the other hand, they did lost to Temple.  So who knows.  I sometimes go on hunches and for some reason I just smell a possible upset here.  If the Flashes play like they did against UK, it'll be over and I'll have to eat some crow.

Edit: However, I understand that crow when eaten with shredded BBQed redchicken can be quite tasty!

Phil Steele was on College Football Daily and said Buffalo could be a pick to upset Toledo. He pointed out that Toledo actually has been outgained this year and that Buffalo actually has outgained its opponents despite records that would make you think otherwise.
