For those that are unable to head to Oxford to support the Bobcats, join the Central Ohio Chapter in cheering on OUr Cats while also participating in the annual Chili Cook off!  Festivities begin at 2:30pm, with the game obviously kicking off at 3:30pm.

Admission is $5. There will be door prizes, public voting in 3 categories (hottest, people's choice, and a $1 vote-stuffing money-maker chili), and a judges' choice category. Trophies will be awarded for all 4 categories. All proceeds benefit the Athens County Food Pantry as part of the ACRN Society, and Central Ohio Chapter's community involvement.

Chili entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis (email Matt Latham, gigamatt@gmail.com, for entry), and will be limited to 10 chilis. We'd like to see some friendly competition between the different alumni groups (societies and "committees") as well as individual entries!

I am definitely interested in this... Where is this event located?  Will we be somewhere that promises us game sound, or will we have to watch a silent screen while they play Urban Meyer whispering sweet nothings to his wife?

Event is located at:
961 S High St, Columbus, Ohio 43206

They will have game sound for us. They've become known for catering to non-OSWHO schools/fans.

When the time comes, they will have Urban's team televised for us to root against.

For those that haven't been there, there is PLENTY of FREE parking directly across the street from Gresso's.

FYI - for those that make a good chili - make a crockpot full, and bring it in.  Please see the facebook page for details on entering your chili.

While it would be open to any fans to enter, the invite hasn't gone out to Miami fans that I'm aware of.

Not that I'll be in town for any gamewatches, but clearly the next time I'm in central Ohio, I'm having dinner at Gresso's just to support them for supporting us in a tough but important market for our alumni.

They do a great job of supporting everyone but OSU.  It's become the niche for their business.  Ohio, Penn St, and Cincinnati, along with WVU - Gresso's alma mater, are the big ones that they support.  It's a good place to hang out.  It's not the perfect place by any means, but it's always a fun place.

For anyone on this board who came out - thanks!  We had a very successful event, and were able to raise nearly $250 for the food bank.
