I was trying to remember which OAC team used to run the single wing when no other team was using it. They won a lot of games with less than stellar talent because opponents could not successfully prepare for it in one week. I just can't remember which team it was. Seems to me the name might have started with an "O." Was it Otterbein or Oberlin, maybe? I'm pretty sure it wasn't Ohio Wesleyan.

For some reason I could not find the answer with an internet search, but I know Jeff won't fail me.

It was Dennison and they were in the NCAC. Legendary coach Keith Piper. Here is his obituary which is a nice tribute to his career. I have a signed copy of his book "Single Wing and a Prayer". Was a very good coach and better person.

Denison used to be in the OAC before they left for the NCAC. When they ran the single wing, were they still in the OAC?

If I read it correctly, he ran the single wing, then dropped it, and then brought it back, so it's possible he ran it in both leagues.
