If only it were an intellectual game controlled by shared mental wisdom. Instead, it is a physical game dependent upon athleticism, conditioning, and even stupid luck. Let's not forget the effects of weather, developmental maturity, and even the effects of what one ate and how they slept the night before. Watching adolescents and thinking they are capable of consistency is such madness.

Offense in one word-ANEMIC
Defense in three words-FUN TO WATCH (except for one or two big plays)
Overall- hard to believe we are 7-3 at this point. started out fast, but we have stumbled lately..

I realize the coaches want to slow down the offense to keep the ball out of the opponent's hands, but it sure seemed like our offense played with more energy when they ran a bit more up tempo in the second half. I think sometimes the offense is lulled to sleep by taking the play clock down so far on every play. If we win the toss vs CMU, instead of deferring maybe we should give the ball to the offense to show some confidence in them and pick up the pace a bit.

Never in my lifetime would I have thought Ohio football would be 7-3 and so many disappointing to so many.( including myself, kinda). However ARuck is right. If We can get 18-19 wins in coaches' last two years? I mean , come on!?

Just continue to shake my head at some fans. Since the late 1990's season, the Bobcats are about 3 and 7 at Buffalo. For some reason it isn't easy for Ohio to win in NY. They just earned a 10 point win. Do some of you rip Boals when his hoops team loses six games in January and two in a row to close out February down the stretch. I certainly hope not! And nobody is stumbling to any wins! The Bobcats have earned all 7 wins this season and all 10 wins last year. Guessing the person that says Albin is "gonna stumble into a lifetime contract" doesn't care much for the success Coach Albin and Coach Solich have brought to Ohio University. Do you want to go back in time to the days of 8 or 9 wins in five years?

I think that person respects the fact that Frank raised our expectations so that we don't assume that we are the doormat of the league anymore. The field is named after him because he made the team one of the top conference programs.

We have a senior-loaded team with a QB coming off a player of the year season. It's not unreasonable to have had very high expectations for this year.

Doesn't Frank have a coaching tree of his own by this point and retaining Albin is just an extension of that? If we move on from him, doesn't that just leave us to start from ground zero? It is not like we have Ohio State level boosters to continue to feed the program going forward.

This football program is in the process of winning 10 games last season and having a chance at 9 or 10 wins this season and you want firings. Are you kidding me? This is not Bama, LSU, Ohio State or Georgia. Did the basketball team fire coaches last season for dropping six conference games in January and two at the end of February. Not to mention they lost in the semis in Cleveland? How about the year before that when they ended up 19-14? How many coaches were fired that season?

If you look at the game-by-game predictions thread, the average number of regular season wins was 8.6. We're 7-3, with two games to play.

Even your predictions included two league losses. In fact, right now the team's record is better than you predicted it would be at this point.
