. . ..When you throw the games on CBS Sports Network as well as ESPN+ you're making it so that one has to have a cable tier that carries CBSSN, often a higher priced package, AS WELL AS the ESPN+ subscription app. On top of needing regular ol' ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPNU. . . .
I've got a Hulu package that costs me about $93 a month and includes all of the above. I was able to drop my separate ESPN+ subscription, and I'm paying an extra $10 a month for the unlimited screens option.
I'm just at a point where I'm not paying $93 for a video subscription service. Although at today's price points, that is a relative bargain. Aside from a handful of Bobcat games per year, literally just 3 or 4, I have no other use for cable. I get 26 stations over-the-air from Columbus and then we pay for Netflix, Hulu/Disney/ESPN, Prime and MAX. We also have many freebie services like Tubi, Kanopy, Pluto, etc. There is more than I'll ever watch, than my wife will ever watch, or my two boys will ever watch and we pay just a few dollars.
