I know his nose for the ball  has been mentioned in passing before, but it's definitely well past due that Nathan have a dedicated thread.  The kid is amazing...Just an unbelievable football player through and through...

What is amazing is that he was not in the that whole series.  That was his first play in that EMU drive and he makes the big play.  I just don't understand why he is not getting more minutes. He also made a big third down tackle during the third quarter to stop an EMU drive.

Prior to his tip we were discussing in the stands why he was not seeing more action.  In fact, we were yelling for his entrance into the game prior to that play.  He then comes in for one play and makes the tip . We all are amazed why he is not playing more.

He doesn't play more because his position is "nickle back", and they aren't in the nickle defense all the time. Against the team that runs the ball more, like EMU, you will see him less.

Yes thanks Nathan for the obvious plays he has made but also point out the fact that he is in the game and in situations that cost Ohio BIG..as in he cannot cover the pass downfield. I blame mostly the coaches for allowing this and yes he has made some HUGE turnovers but he has also been a liability and put in TERRIBLE spots by the coaches..it's not his fault he is 5'8 but coaches have to put him in the best situation possible. Him and Kristoph on the same side of the field...just disgusting and as it did with the NIU game last year come back to bite us. But yeah great kid with a huge heart.

Nose for the ball.  Can't coach that.  Blame his upbringing.

Blitz-I have been saying this all year.  We have so many situations where we match up poorly with the opposition.  At least last night #9 was on the tight end one on one and not a wide receiver.  In general, I just don't get some of our defensive schemes.  Like who was supposed to have the RB out of the backfield on the TD?  Looked like the outside backer took the tight end who crossed the field and the middle backer had the back but could not get to the outside quick enough.

Then there was the whole issue of giving them the edge all night.  Our Defense is pretty good but I think they could be a lot better.

Ingol was missing from an already thin secondary.  Kristoff looked either dinged up or just plain gassed from being a target all night...Either way he played an inspired game and the D held them to 14 (7 of which came on a short field)...That's the kind of effort this team generates and cultivates.
