Off topic but just sayin a little prayer for all the BAers and Bobcats and people in general getting hit by Hurricane Sandy.  Cleveland  area must also be getting some wind as BAer Mike Coleman reports he has lost power.

Good luck and ride this storm out safely.

We have power in this part of Medina County, but I just got home after being called to my office in downtown Cleveland.  Big plate glass window was blown out and the resulting vacuum resulted in debris being tossed about the entire office.  The gusts downtown off the lake, coupled with the tunnel effect from the buildings creates an intense scene.  Quite a mess, but no complaints based on what I see happening elsewhere.

Thanks Doc,

Power has been intermittent in The DC area, with gusts up to 85 mph.  5-6 inches of rain.  Half a million or so in the area without power.

Hopefully the 4,000+ Bobcats in the area managed to ride the storm out safely!

Conditions were not too bad here in Richmond.

A friend of mine from elementary & high school (Worthington) lives in the Breezypoint neighborhood in NY City which flooded and has burned to the ground.

Just got a rain and snow wintry mix this morning in Cincy, but I have read and heard others throughout Eastern Ohio are without power. Hope everyone is bunkering down and staying safe. Thoughts and hopes going out to all those affected on the East Coast. I'll do what I can by sending relief efforts through work or other places.

Yes, but you make up for it by having to live in Texas.

Many in the Philly area are without power but most in the city did not lose power. Public transit is back up and running. Hopefully all of the issues don't keep people from coming out to the game watch tomorrow night.

Keep those prayers coming folks.
I'm in north Jersey where we got hit pretty good.
No power since Monday, and no clue when it will be back.

It's also hard finding fuel.

The tidal surge caused  a dike breach in a town a few miles away. That  town and the one next door got submerged by a wall of water.Virtually 100% of the towns went under with up to 8' of water..

Just an overall mess, but we did better then the Jersey Shore.

I'd go into more detail, but I'm trying to save battery power.(Recharging is also tough).

I'm also pissed that my wife and I won't be at tonight's game.
We've been loking foward to a long weekend in Athens, but Sandy F @#$ ed that up.

Hope your power comes back soon. I'm heading up to Livingston this weekend to visit my girlfriend's grandparents, they are without power as well. My girlfriend is also very sad that LBI was hit very hard and the shack by the causeway was destroyed. She has lots of childhood memories on LBI. Glad, though, that all of our friends in North Jersey and at the Shore made it out unscathed.
