I can see the headline now:  The worst 7-1 team in the nation beats the best 1-7 team in the nation:)

Does anyone know the projected attendance/ticket sales for this game?

Lower than weekend games, but higher than other MAC weekday games....  Hopefully enough people that with creative camera work, the stands will look full.

Go Bobcats!

They did a good job last Saturday in avoiding those who attended wearing their invisibility cloaks.

I'm concerned about this being a trap game between Fiami and 6-3 BGSUcks.  Of course, I'm also concerned that BGSUcks has this week off and we have another short week for them next week.

Had they beaten Miami, this might be a trap. With the loss, there are some hungry Bobcats looking to start a new winning streak. EMU will have to play their best to win this one - I predict that the Bobcats are going to come out playing very hard, and really get after them early.

As for BG, with them rested, and the Bobcats playing a second short week in a row, that has been a game that concerns me.

Random post: On facebook a saw a friend of mind put on his status "tonight im a bobcat" of course i had to ask him about it and it turns out he is driving down for the game tonight and got tickets because he saw how good we were doing. (he is a huge huge huge OSU fan)

Goes to show that even though we lost a game there is still a lot of people on the bandwagon.

Lets go Bobcats!

I'm amazed that we aren't the 1 win team in this game.

Speaking of Penalties, anybody notice the blatant holding on Kristoff that was not called on the EMU touch down?

All in all a good game - nothing dramatic, just wore EMU down, and then made them pay. For the first time this year the Bobcats have a negative in turnovers, and still come away with a big win. There were two great highlight-film plays each by Futrell and Foster. Foster had some great runs after the catch on his two TDs, and Futrell had a great punt return, but what a block Futrell had. Even if Ohio didn't get the first down on the play, that EMU player will remember that hit.

It was nice to see the reserves at the end, and they played well. I think the starters should be recovered by next week, for BG.

Go Bobcars.

First half effort was crap against a shit one win team.  Should have taken this team to the woodshed from the first whistle.  Glad second half went much better.  Still, many tackling issues not good.

Really wish I could have been at the game as scheduled, but our flight was canceled due to Sandy. I have not seen Ohio win a football game in person since 2003. (Seen us lose a few.)

Glad I skipped this game for BG.  9704 is right.  The first half was a crap effort.  Like i said, the worst 7-1 team vs. the best (haha) 1-7 team.  Thanks God for big plays.

Why did we allow them to the edge all night?  Oh, because the LBers pushed inside.  Why no adjustment?

I too was antsy with the 1st half, but I don't consider it a poor effort.  Our expectations as fans remind me of the famed Ping Legends intramural basketball team I was a part of....bear with me for the comparison.

We would come out of the gate just playing OK for the first part of the first half and everyone would start pressing a little because we hadn't beaten them into submission in 5 minutes. Everyone wondered why aren't we winning by 30 yet?  Why are these guys not just rolling over for our almighty team which is clearly better?  Long story short we would stay the course and our ability would eventually get us that 30 point lead.  That's pretty much exactly what happened in this game tonight and a few of the posts reflect that attitude of fans who just can't believe EMU isn't ushering us into the end zone and punting to us on 2nd down. The majority of the time we're not going to jump out to a 2 TD lead in Q1.

This same EMU team led Michigan St in the 3rd quarter, and only lost to Toledo by 5.  I wont say they're good but also not horrendous.

Complete game by the Bobcats tonight.  Best game we've played in a long time. The 2 turnovers were really the only blemish.

I will say I look forward to a big stop on the 1st posession of the game for once! Missed FG doesn't count.

How many times have we won the toss, chosen to play defense first and played from behind? I think it's time to take the ball on the kick off and get ahead for a change.

I understand what Ron English was trying to do by lining up double tight and trying to build a physical, fundamental football team (tonight he tried to look like a Harbaugh Stanford team)...but I just don't think you can do that at EMU. They need to be a five-wide spread team and try to gimmick their way to five or six wins a season. Cause they aren't going to line up against a team like Ohio and physically beat them. You can put together as many 15 play drives as you want, but you're not going to keep up in the MAC that way.

Kudos to marketing on the hat idea. Probably the best giveaway idea I've seen at Ohio. Second only to my mythical Tim O'Shea bobblehead.

The hit that Gerald Moore put on EMU's running back, knocking him out of bounds late 2nd quarter.  Dude had to take a knee for a bit.

And Gerald needed some tending to, as well.  That was a HUGE hit.
