Very, very sad to share this news.  Dave was a really great Bobcat who I got to know while PM'ing back and forth as he would always help answer questions about Disney World while we planned our family vacations.  His many posts here show his light-hearted and positive attitude he showed towards life and the joy he got from Ohio University and the Bobcats.

Very, very sad news.  My condolences to his family.

You may recall that I posted here that I'll be traveling to Pittsburgh after the BG game and, so, asked for help in sites to do/see there.  Dave and his siblings each wrote email to me with fine suggestions.  I didn't know Dave much beyond that but obviously he was a great guy from a great family.  A true Bobcat.

That is very sad to hear. We was clearly a special person, and had become one of my favorite posters here on BA. My condolences to his wife and family.

I never met him and I did not know him.  But a quick scan of this site shows that his last post had to do with the aftermath of the Miami game --appears to convey his sense of intelligence, compassion and approach to life.  RIP Sir.

...given the way the game progressed, OUr team persevered, never ever raising a "white flag," and had a chance to win in the final seconds. And though I wouldn't say I was surprised by that, I was still impressed

I want to express my condolences as well. If there was a big game, you could count on Dave coming from Florida to be there. I spent a lot of time with him at Homecoming 2011. He had his granddaughter with him and he was trying to get her to attend the university he loved. My prayers go out to his family.
