As with many of you I have become concerned with our recent performances.
I then took a look at our injury status and this report helped me put things into context.
Here is the summary of players out for the season game by game:

GAME 1        2 players lost    Travis Carrie CB Starter, Sebastian Smith WR
GAME 2        4 players lost     Mario Dovell WR, Jamil Shaw CB Starter
GAME 4        5 players lost     Tremayne Scott DE Starter
GAME 5        6 player lost       Sam Johnson 2nd Team
GAME 7        8 players lost     Jordon Thompson TE Starter, Xavier Hughes S
GAME 10      9 player lost       Landon Smith WR 2nd Team
GAME 11    10 player lost      Ryan Boykin RB 2nd Team

These are only the players who were lost for the season. There were numerous players that were out for 1 or multiply games during the season.
No matter how much depth a team has it would be difficult to overcome this number of injuries.

I must give a great deal of credit to the entire team and coaching staff to have accomplished so much under all this adversity.
No one knows how OHIO or our last 2 opponents will play so I remember a famous quote, "On any given day any team can beat any other team".
With 2 games remaining all I ask is that we work hard, show toughness, determination, never quite, stay positive, and all players continue to believe in each other and their coaches. If we do this I will be proud of our group and we will have a great opportunity to come out on top.

I agree 71. However, isn't this the 2nd year in the last three or four that we have seen this volume of injuries? Not sure why this is the case. Are the players wearing down because of practice (too much full contact, etc.) and/or less than effective conditioning practices? I don't know the answer but this year is ridiculous.

Now we are in a situation that makes it tough for the players to stay 100% positive. We are still a good football team and I'm behind the boys 100%.
