1.  Tackling.  It's bad.  It should have been taught in high school, but so many people are worried about the big hit it's bad on that level too.  Who cares how hard they go down if they get 20 yards?  Just make the tackle!

2.  Offensive schemes.  More timing routes past the LOS (slants, outs, etc.)  I know they're not Brazill or Dunlap, but have confidence that they can get this done.  Fewer bubble screens or blocking from receivers work.  A true screen or two.  Two back sets (saw some tonight.)  I would lobby for more option, but Beau had a terrific game, so stick with power running right now, but mix it up.

3.  Pacing.  When we need to hurry, we take too much time.  This could have been put in offensive schemes, but I feel like it's worthy of its own category.  Are we trying to keep our defense off the field?  It's okay if you want to keep your most glaring problem off the field, but do a quick huddle and check out of a play on the fly.  We looked LOST on several plays with players not knowing what the coaches were saying.

4.  Blocking.  Interior blocking looks okay, but our tackles have been getting killed the last two weeks.

5.  Defensive schemes.  Need to create pressure with blitzes because our front four aren't getting it done.

6.  Punting.  Looked better this game, not sure whether to do with design of return or execution.  Always good to work on.

All of these things are correctable.  It may be too late for this season for some of them, but certainly something to look at in the offseason.

On the issue of pace: we're a no huddle team, with theoretical hurry-up capabilities (though I don't know that they've been apparent since PennState) and we got a FRIGGIN' DELAY OF GAME!

Don't remember seeing a snap get off with more than four seconds on the play clock all night.  The whole point of the no huddle is to keep the defense off stride, but they had plenty of time to dig in and catch their breath.

This team has lost it physically and mentally.  How many times can they bite on a fake?  The picture that will forever be etched in my mind is Ian Wells trailing the play to his left three yards downfield as Page ran right past him with the ball and literally walked into the end zone just before halftime.  What happened to sealing off the outside?  By all means, unfortunately, he wasn't the only one fooled.  That's the whole problem.

Ditto Logan! Also the defense needs to get off blocks better. We need to bring Matt Muncy back as a mentor.

It's ok to get fooled assuming you are meeting your resposibilities.  He didn't.  He should not be worried about making the tackle on a play away from him.  He just needed to contain the edge.  That's why I would say preparation, execution and discipline are all lacking from this team right now.  We simply do not have the personnel to make all the mistakes we are making each game.
