I've been irritated, pissed, and just about every negative emotion watching this program in the past.  But this is the first time I've ever been embarrassed as a fan.  This is much worse than the Troy game, because they were a flat out good football team.

I'm not even talking about the defense.  We're playing just about an entire second string defense (especially tonight) on a year when the MAC has kicked it up a couple notches.  I can see us being too green to play against these offenses, and hey, that's football.

The offense has been a massive disappointment.  Our body language tells you all you need to know about us.  When you see that, the season is over.  Yeah, we might beat Kent and win a bowl (it's sports) and end 10-3, a good season.  But right now, our guys look like they could give a damn less.  Heck, Tettleton has had bad body language too.  I can forgive bonehead mistakes, I can forgive execution and scheming errors.  I CAN NOT forgive watching a team give up.

Barring an absolute miracle, this team will get smoked at Kent next week.  If Ball State can do this to us, I hate to see what Kent will do.  What a total waste of a season!  Of course, that is why I am not a big fan of basically playing the Sisters of the Blind each week.  When you finally do play a real team you only embarrass yourselves like we have these past 4 weeks.  This quite possibly is Coach Solich's worst team here at Ohio.

Giving up 30 first downs, almost 600 yards total offense and allowing over 9 yards per rushing attempt won't beat any team.

This is a dumpster fire right now. I sure hope the players own this.

Screw the injuries... show some HEART. This team has quit.

Compare this group to our basketball team. Think Walt Offutt would ever allow a performance like this? Would DJ? No.

Fans: Stand up... and boo.

Embarrassed tonight to call myself an alum.

The real question is how good is this team? Our wins came against opponents who are a combined 21-60! And that includes 4 wins by an FCS team. Injuries aim sure has been an issue, but we are now playing some decent teams and being embarrassed.

The team at the beginning of the year was legit.  We have paid for our injuries, but the biggest injury was to our pride against Miami.  That doomed this season.

They put 52 on us on national TV. 357 yards rushing and they put up 31 second half points with the backup QB in the second half. This guy wasn't the passing type and they still ran it down our throats. Meanwhile we are calling pass plays in the redzone on first down. Don't understand why we gain 80 on the ground then try to throw inside the 15 and gets sacked every time. Special team disaster given up a long return and then 30 yards in penalities to waste any momentum we might have gotten. These were winnable games. I don't buy the injury excuse for our three loses. They lost their QB and still put up 31 second half points on us.

Yeah. Seriously. Imagine Walt and DJ losing by double digits to EMU. No way would that ever happen.

Teams come out flat in basketball.  That's to be expected from time to time.  But they sure as heck didn't give up like we saw tonight.  We have been lethargic since Norfolk State.

Agreed. I feel almost as though we gave everything we had to beat Marshall, and just haven't had anything left in the tank since. It sounds crazy, but you've got to admit that this team has played drastically different since that game.

So disappointing what we've seen the last 2 weeks. Can't even put it into words. We're questionable for a bowl game at this point - just 3 short weeks ago we were talking BCS. Unbelievable...

Conference/NCAA tournaments.  (Understand that I get the point, but that didn't define our season.  This has.  Even in the event of a 10-3 season, we would still be highly disappointed with the way things turned out.  That's BEST case scenario.)

Will Frank ever win the conference championship? He's had eight years!

I do see your point, too. I think it's easier to correct a tailspin and get hot in basketball as well. It's pretty rare to see a football team go into a late-season tailspin (injury-induced or not) and recover. Frank has his work cut out for him.

Just saw this stat on Twitter: 52 points is the most Ohio has allowed since 2002, when Bowling Green dropped 72 on them.

Absolutely.  Postseason setup, length of season, managing 12 guys compared to 75 or whatever.  All in favor to basketball.

Hint:  kents will try to run the ball.  Question:  will we prepare for that?

Not with the starting 2 DT's hurt....depth has helped us but not when you get into the 15 and 16 numbers for injured players....most of the other MAC schools have improved their rosters...just check out their rosters.....they've found those diamonds in the rough  players like we used to get in the early FF days....the worm has definately turned.

What does that have to do with TRYING TO stop their running game, their known prime thrust?
