I watched all of his press conference today previewing the game with O$U. He never once used the term "Ohio" in reference to them. I wonder if he finally got the message.
I have reason to believe (more than idle speculation but not entirely confirmed) that Michigan's Legal Affairs Office may have registered an opinion with the president, who even at Michigan is a superior of the football HC, that a school in Athens, Ohio, may have a legal right to that name, that O$U has recognized same, and that there might be negative legal ramifications if Brady continued with his nonsense. Now, Brady may relapse occasionally, but I think he's been given marching orders on this matter. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Edit: I do know as an absolute fact that back in the Glidden years the president sent a sharply worded letter to the Rose Bowl telling them to cease and desist in placing "Ohio" in the end zone when OSU was one of the teams in that bowl. They used to do that on a regular basis. They have never done it since. I suspect we might have a similar scenario playing out here.
