Tis the season to be thankful. Let's think about the positives we can glean from this game so far:

1. Defense has played much better than expected. Makes me hopeful for next year. (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I know I know....they'll break my heart again, but for now I'm hopeful).
2. Our band is good enough that our PA system doesn't have to play music during the game to keep the crowd entertained.
3. The early start time gave me an awesome excuse to start drinking in the AM, and will leave me enough time to sober up and make it to Lowe's before it gets dark.
4. Hazell is going to be leaving Can't in a matter of weeks.

Not do disagree (I don't, mostly) but it seems a bit unfair to put all of Kent's success on Hazell. Seems like he's riding Doug Martin's coattails a bit, but that probably won't stop the media from fawning over him, and big offers pouring in.

5. Thankful that our recent "crap the bed" games haven't been on national TV... Oh Wait

It's also so frustrating to see a team like Kent make such headway in a comparatively short time. Ohio has been building for 8 years, and we looking up to Kent, BG, Ball State, Miami, and Toledo, maybe others. That's not intended to be a crack on Frank Solich. I believe in Frank entirely.  But this late season meltdown deserves some kind of explanation from the coaches to the fans.

Yes injuries happen and this year they are catastrophic to the program. But why? Why are they always so bad, and seemingly worse at Ohio than other MAC programs? Should we be examining our strength and conditioning program? Are we overworking our athletes without proper rest? Do we have adequate physical therapy experts on-hand, and on-staff?

Injuries happen to all football teams. But this is ridiculous.

I am thankful I don't have to watch Tettleton get sacked too much more this year.

I am thankful for all the great posters on this site.  I am also thankful OHIO is no longer a 4-8 football team.  I am also glad this debacle has come to an end.

As for all the teams that passed us up this year, especially Kent, I hope they are not able to out recruit us the way they ahve the last four years.

Oh, I am also thankful that KSU did not pu a 70 up on us as I feared eralier in the week.
