Pretty quiet on the board here about the polls. There seems to be a bit of Poll Envy going on.  I have to admit that I would like to be a bit happier for KSU and NUI but looking at them through the green eyes of envy myself.

On the other hand, I gotta say that listening to some of tOSU fans rant about their plight gives me some solace.

(On that topic I spent some time in Raleigh area over the holidays.  There was an article in the paper about UNC FB that could have been written by anyone from tOSU.  The author laments the choice of UNC's admin to play in a terrible bowl game last year with an interim coach and little motivation which probably ruined the year for a new fiery coach and veteran players that had nothing to do with the problems.    At  UNC they ended up with new coach, AD and president.)

Not envy.  More like apathy.  It's good that the MAC is doing so well in the polls, but if we're not a part of it, it doesn't mean that much.

As for the O$Uers, they thought they were getting away with something last year when they took the situation lightly. Now they have a nice 12-0 record and nowhere to go.  No chance for a national championship in any poll.  And the sad thing is that a lot of them, maybe most of them, don't even realize it's their own fault.  I heard that one of their ilk put a petition on the White House website asking Obama to overturn the NCAA's bowl ban.  It went down a few days later because it's not within the White House's purview.  Schmucks.

The only thing that matters is those kids came together and ran the tables. That is all they could do, and hats off to them!
