Leading rusher, 1,600 yards is a QB.  Six 1,300 yard rushers, all back next year.  Beau for 1,500, great job by Beau, his OL and his coaches.

I think if somehow all the coaches return (unlikely) this conference will be substantially better next year.

My uncle's MAC would've had the single wing or the split T, 220-lb defensive linemen and only nine games on their schedule.  They might've worn helmets, but don't bet on it.

My question is "what hole did all the MAC football haters climb down into?" Even if it's not Ohio doing well, I think that all the folks who said that the MAC was wasting its money by puting it in the football programs need to say that they were wrong.  Maybe it's just because C-USA, MWC, Big East, and Big Ten  are all down, but it's nice to see some vindication of those decisions made by MAC leadership.

It has been a fun year for the MAC.  But, this could be very short lived as coaches move on.

Being on the west coast I'm still hearing about the teams playing for the MAC championship losing games to a bad Kentucky and a bad Iowa team.  Local Las Vegas radio said it would be a joke if Kent plays in a BCS game.

What they fail to realize is that these are NOT the same teams that lost in weeks one and two.  I figured that in Vegas, they would know that you don't stay the same in sports through a season; either you improve or you regress.

(OT- check the "your" in your signature.  It's not good to post about people not going to college with grammatical errors.)

I've found that most local (and some network) sports talk guys believe they have to be negative jerks just to get ratings.  That's one reason why I don't even bother to listen to them.  The guys in Vegas choose to ignore that Kent beat a ranked Rutgers team on the road.  (Yeah, it's just a Big Least team, but they were ranked, so it counts.)  And after a so-so nonconference performance (a close loss to Iowa and close wins vs. Army and Kansas), NIU waltzed through the conference schedule, including a win vs. Toledo, which beat then-ranked Cincy.  My guess is that they lost their shirts betting on Ohio-Penn St, NIU-Kansas, Toledo-Cincy, Kent-Rutgers, WMU-UConn, BSU-Indiana, BSU-USF and CMU-Iowa and are venting their anger with themselves for being so f***ing stupid.
