Letting each student get a ticket for free and setting up bus packages to Miami. Though I assume they will get a bit more of an uptake than we did due to the nature of the game. For schools where the students pay for their athletic programs and you know you can't sell your allotment I think this is a rather noble solution. Reward the students and hopefully create some good will for donations from your future graduates. Plus you are getting butts in the seats to cheer for your team which is always a plus.

Yikes! I did a quick map check, and from DeKalb, IL to Miami, FL in a bus is
1,434 mi
,
21 hours 14 mins
That will not be a fun bus ride.

Oh, I don't know. Most of that could be sleep. We've come a long way since our bus trips in my era, which included sleep, euchre tournaments and cassette walkmans. With today's gadgetry, one could play video games or catch up on an entire season of "Lost" during that trip. Will Farrell moviethons?

21 hour game of craps.
Or the worlds longest ever (in terms of distance) beerpong* tournament (*using non-alcoholic, road-safe beverages of course).

If OUr bobcats managed to get into the Orange Bowl, I would've flown out to the game and stayed over night in Miami. I'd rather spend the $400 dollars in the 3 and a half hour air travel than waste 18 hours of riding in a car.

The bus ride from Athens to NOLA wasn't bad. Very festive. It was the trip back that was rough.
