In the parity of the MAC, any win is a good win. Look at CMU, who just lost to last place Ball State as an example of what can happen. Heck, Ball State was tied with Toledo last week with under 5 minutes left in the game.

Ohio wins. Go Bobcas.

Per the "pretzels"/Concessions bitching - since so low attendance today there was at least no lines and/or not waiting in line a full quarter to get a water ( maybe if they have it) or dog/brat etc.....

A total of !7 wins in ten wins in 10 years is irrelevant. It occurred 30-40 years ago. For anyone going to school in the 1980s it was comparable to the performance of the team in the 1940s. Nearly every school has bad stretches in their history. This discussion thread has devolved into a straw man argument. That said, I was waiting to see the first appearance of a Fire Isphording thread. I miss the humor produced by the Fire Albin threads of the past.

It just seems to me that the Rourke's inability to run the option at this point has created a problem that the coaching staff is struggling to solve. The offensive is very talented and Rourke is a tremendous weapon otherwise. Why can't this team evolve its strategy to be more effective on that side of this side of the ball.

We haven't figured it out. At this point, it's too late to figure it out. We are what we are. A really average team, at best, and lucky as hell to be 6-3.

Hope to at least be in the whatever dot com wherever bowl.

I've been waiting for over a month for OUr offense to figure it out and return to its 2022 form. It's past time for me to resign myself to fact that it is what it is and OUr offense is not getting back to what it was last year.

However, I was thinking to myself during the first quarter today that Rourke looked like 2022 Rourke. Unfortunately, that didn't last beyond the first two possessions.

It's quite an accomplishment that Ohio has done so well in what is arguably a nonexistent sports market. It's not like we have a bunch of kids walking on from the holler over there. It's not like we have huge NIL options either. I remember back in the 1970s after the drop off in attendance after the Vietnam War, when the idea was floated of eliminating the football program altogether. It would not have hurt the Bobcats to become a basketball primary school. Still, we like our football, so hats off to what we have accomplished, and, don't forget, all that we haven't and probably never could or would.
