Is this the first NFL TD ever scored by an Ohio player?

It was a nice grab.  Had just walked into DiCarlos Pizza in time to see it.

Todd Snyder had two for the Falcons in 1970.  That was his rookie year, too.  There may have been others.

I posted this in another thread yesterday.  His catch is about two minutes in.

It looks like MLB Vince Costello scored two TDs in his NFL career.

A pair of fumble returns, in different seasons.

Two, three plays.  Consider the status of the O H I O if NIU doesn't get us in the 2nd half last year and/or Lavon doesn't make the grab at the goal line.

Lavon, great player, a product of hard work, his and others.  Last minute recruit in 07, Yahoo doe not list who recruited him.  They do show Ohio as his only offer, no visits, who ever recruited him, coach Dixon and TT all helped too.

That's a stretch. Given the results of this season, perhaps it was the other way around?

I don't know that he was that late of a recruit, but he was kept top secret. There were rumors floating around, but nothing solid. A day or so before signing day someone leaked the name "Brazill", and BA researchers began trying to find him. They came up with a Doug Brazill, who was a "human bowling ball" fullback from Florida, who I believe is a cousin. He would probably have been a 4-star recruit, but he didn't play prior to his Senior year due to academic issues. Once he decided that maybe academics were important, he got himself eligible, and made his mark on the field.
