So I thought Dave LaMont and Kelly Stouffer did a decent job; thought they talked about ULM a little bit more in the early going, but after that they kept it straight, I give them a solid B. Props to Kelly for consistently saying Ohio instead of Ohio U or OU. What did you think?

The five minutes that ESPN gave us/Coach post game was very sweet.

Lou Holtz continues to call us Ohio U!   Gotta admit, it never used to bother me ('88 grad and it was used regularly back then), but it is kinda like fingernails on the blackboard now!

They did a very good job.  Unlike some, they didn't keep reading the same notes all the time.  They actually seemed interested in the game and the teams involved.  Even Cara Capuano on the sidelines was more than just a pretty face; she actually contributed with pertinent information and interesting questions for the coaches.

I thought the game announcers did great overall.  They knew the players and for the most part kept the discussion related to our game and teams instead of going off on tangents about other upcoming bowl games or topics.  Not always easy to do especially in a blowout.

But what's up with Lou Holtz continuing the Ohio U references and saying he doubts that Athens even has the internet yet?  Cmon old man, even you are better than that.  He must have a bone to pick from his Kent St. days or something.

Holtz has been senile for the last 10 years.

It was nice to hear the game 'nouncers talking about our game for almost the whole game.

Those mid-week regular season ESPN games are great but the 'nouncers on them spend about 30% of the game actually talking about the teams playing and the game in front of them.

I expect that Corso will be gone from Gameday next season (he seemed confused a lot this season, probably from the stroke) and wish they'd retire Holtz.  He's too biased in favor of the schools where he coached and too closed minded about darn near everything.

I really enjoyed listening to Kelly Stauffer. As a former QB, he obviously had an excellent ability to read and understand what the defenses were doing, and why the QB's were making the reads they were making. He did a very good job of communicating it, too. His commentary gave me additional things to look at.

I thought the announcers were better than average. Any Ohio game that doesn't have Ray Bentley or Je Rod Cherry is a win in my book.

I thought these were some of the best announcers I heard.   They said good things about the good plays and were critical without being derogatory to the struggles of ULM.

Of course, maybe the fact Kelly Stouffer was from Nebraska made it a little easier for him to praise Coach Solich and the Ohio program!

I found the clip of Lou Holtz questioning whether or not we have the internet. Got to admit, it's pretty funny:

The game announcers did a very nice job.

Lou Holtz is a disgrace to senility.

I liked the announcers who did OUr bowl too.  I thought they were better than the crew that did the Orange Bowl last night.

And maybe it takes a lot to make me mad, I found Holtz's comments to be funny.  I liked the fact that they were at least talking about Ohio and Athens for a couple of minutes.
