Not good matchups for the MAC this year. Wouldnt be surprised if we go 1-6.

Wonder why ABC, CBS, and NBC gave up all the bowls to ESPN.  Especially on a Saturday like today.  Kind of surprises me.

And me sitting here with no cable.

I understand ABC, which is ESPN, and NBC a little since they've cast their lot with ND, but CBS and don't forget FOX make their money with sports.

Broadcast nets are largely bleeding cash and cable (ESPN especially) is raking it in, presently.

MAC victories = 2
BIG victories = 2

MAC has one more game.  BIG is done.

Not to be an apologist for the BIG but their opponents have been a little tougher than the MAC's.  That being said, Purdue sure did lay an egg yesterday.

Ten or so days ago, as the bowl season was getting underway, The Wall Street Journal ran a piece on the W-L pcts of the 11 conferences going back to 2004.  The MAC ranked last.  The Big 10 ranked second to last.  As I recall the two conferences' winning pcts were something like MAC .327 and Big Ten .364.

With its 2-5 bowl record this year, The Big 10 didn't move up in those rankings.

Watching at least part of all the bowl games this season, here is what I've found fun to ponder.  If Ohio were to play at its early season and bowl game level against other bowl teams, how many of them might the Bobcats top?

Lots, I think...
