Big Jon had surgery and everything went great.  Should make a full recovery.

I was ignorant of his injury. When did it occur?  I wish him the best and will light a candle for him.

I didn't hear about it either. I'm glad he's recovering well. He's been a good player, and a team player, so it will be good to have him at 100%.

I hope the same is true for the other dozen or so players that needed surgery. What a horrible year in that regards....

I wonder what the spring will look like Foster and Russell also have had post season surgeries.

As did Sam Johnson.

I imagine they'll put Tettleton in bubble wrap during Spring Practice. Vick vs. Windham in the Spring Game.

Perhaps, though, there will be a lot of sorting of receivers.  Would not surprise me if some new receivers earn spots in the rotation.  TT would need time with new talent.

So what was Lechner's injury and what is the timetable for his return?

Not entirely sure what was wrong, but it was on his knee. I think it was something he played through and put off surgery until after the year. It didn't sound like anything really serious. I do know it required two weeks on crutches, but I don't know anything more.

Lechner played most of the season with a torn Meniscus with some other minor damage but he is one tough dude and as someone already posted, Jon is a team player.

I am not sure of the timetable but I know he will make a full recovery per the doctors.

Thanks,

On a somewhat related note, I just talked to my sister who is in a post surgery rehab facility in Athens. She said a OU WR named Ryan (Ryan Clark no doubt) is doing work there and is recovering from surgery (torn meniscus she thinks).FWIW she says he is really nice guy. Glad to hear that about him.
