Looking at this, you have to like OUr chances for 10+ wins in 2013.
Home Games: North Texas, Marshall, Austin Peay, Central Michigan, Kent State, Miami, UMass;
Road Games : Louisville, Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Akron, Buffalo;

I personally like the potential for success here for the Bobcats.
Wow, look at Akron's road. Not envious of that.
AKRON
Home: Ball State, Toledo, Kent State, Ohio; Road: Northern Illinois, BGSU, Miami, UMass

I can see Central and Kent being goofy mid-week games for TV. I hope not. Nothing worse than hoping that neither team has to punt.

UMass will be the homecoming game. Miami and Kent State will not be on a Saturday, with one of those being played on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Book it.

That would be sad to possibly be playing for the division crown on Nov. 29 with an empty stadium.

Is it possible for the MAC to create their schedules in such a way that Thanksgiving weekend games no longer exist?

Well it looks like we have the 118th toughest schedule in the nation again in 2013.

We have a solid home schedule. I think we have a possibility to have sellouts each home game.

Austin Peay? Will Fly Williams be playing? I'd pay to see him.

You'll have to race we for front row seats Bob.
While playing at Austin Peay, the fans constructed a clever on-court chant that went: "Fly is open, let's go Peay!" Fans still chant "Let's Go Peay" at all basketball games. Williams' number 35 jersey was retired by Austin Peay State University on February 5, 2009.

Does Ball State have a similar chant?

I was going to ask in anyone knew when the exact schedule for next year would be announced. I went back and looked at posts from last year and saw we probably have till the end of march before that happens. Too bad you have a lot of d2 schools who are already announcing their full schedules. I'm guessing we have to wait on espn.

That's exactly what happened in 2009, when we played Temple on Black Friday for the MAC East Division title

Not a bad reason to wait. I hope ESPN will have 4-5 reasons for Ohio again this year.

The 14 year old in me couldn't get enough of this when we traveled to APSU a few years ago.
And of course the best part about the trip

Seems like a manageable slate of conference games. However, I can't let myself get too into the green Kool-aid just yet...

The stadium certainly wasn't empy that day. Over 14K on hand(the week before, we only had 14,700+ when the students were there)..

Personally, I like Black Friday games. The only thing better might be a Thanksgiving Day slate of games.

You know, I still chuckle when BSU does their "Let's Go Ball State."
