This is just a thought. With the Russell deal getting done so late last year, they probably didn't have time to redesign the uniforms. I actually like Ohio's current uniforms, except I think the green and white jerseys should have the arch Ohio logo on the chest. To be honest, without the little attack cat on the collar, who'd know it was our jersey? Texas has Texas on their chest and many other schools have their name right there above their number. People shouldn't have to ask you what team your jersey is for? The arch Ohio right there above the numbers will tell everybody that this jersey is the jersey of Ohio and its Bobcats. Could people submit their ideas on this forum as I've seen people do with other sports teams recently?

I don't know this has always been a conservative athletic department as far as making changes. In fact I would argue that Ohio has made a major design change over the last 2 years with the blackout uniforms and green helmets. Add those new uniforms with the new Turf and IPF we've probably have the all the program upgrades we are going to see for the next 6-8 years. Go back to 2001-2006 and the stadium was lowered, grass to turf, new scoreboard and Rufus mascot then about 5 years without a change. Before that in the 90's there was a lot of changes including new logo and a tower. The uniforms are a part of the atmosphere and it has taken a long time to build a big time atmosphere with this program.

So long as they keep the matte finished green helmets we've got the best looking helmets in football

Bricks on uni shoulders is pretty slick and subtle, too.

Ha! I originally mentioned the OHIO-bricks on the shoulders, but I felt like my post was getting too diffuse, so I pulled it. But I agree 100%
