Do we get a Spring Prospectus or Roster? How about a release on the new DB's coach?

I'm sure most of the athletic department is getting ready for Cleveland, but other than a couple of tweets, I haven't seen anything about spring practice. Anybody have a report?

Anyone know the status for spring ball of some of our lads who ended the year injured (Carrie etc)?

According to Arkley's article in today's Messenger, Carrie will take some reps but will wear a red jersey marking him off-limits for contact. He also lists about a dozen players who will not participate in the Spring due to injury recovery.

A good read to get the juices flowing:

Jason Arkley does a great job with these articles. If it weren't for his efforts, I'd know a lot less than I already do. I hope The Messenger will continue the good coverage of OU football.

And if it weren't for these articles, I wouldn't know a thing about University Medical Associates or Shade River Ag Service.

I hope moving Tim Edmonds to TE means that Jake Schany is developing well enough to take over MLB duties if needed, and not that Roback and Knight are having injury rehab setbacks.

Also, I like moving Carpenter and Macer to safety. When G. Moore was hurt last year, our safeties were more run stoppers than pass coverers. Carpenter and Macer should help.

Might it also mean Carrie and Shaw are 100%?

Are there any units that we can feel are set, solid and healthy?

After reading Arkley's article it looks like the young guys on the offensive line have a chance to nake a name for themselves. McGrath, Lechner, Prior and Johnson all shelved.

Based on  Jason's article the injuries from last year will have an effect on spring practice. What that means for fall camp and being ready for 8/31 I don't know and I would venture a guess Coach doesn't either. I'm sure if he had his druthers he would want all hands healthy and ready to go this spring.
Because I have so much trust in this Coach he is already making adjustments looking ahead to fall camp and next season.
As long as we do not have a repeat of this last years injuries it will be another great year of OHIO Football.

Most here would agree that we have the potential for great depth...we have a lot of guys who should be able to play.

Here's the chance.

Most here would also agree that after the first loss we should fire the OC, the DC and the Special Teams guy as well.
