Did the ACC just shut down conference realignment for the next decade? If the next big move was to be from the B1G to get to 16 (and supposedly they were looking in the direction of Virginia and UNC), I don't see how they get there now. If the B1G can't raid the ACC, the ACC doesn't need to raid The Conference Formerly Known as the Big East, which doesn't need to raid the MAC, CUSA, or Sun Belt.

Or is this just the next step in the major conferences separating themselves from us peons?

If we somehow end up getting a large market for Ohio football and basketball, we will get an invite. Because as we've all witnessed, that's the only thing that matters.
