I don't get it.  Is the MSU Bobcat going to Attack their teams or is it restrained behind a wall shaped like an M?

I'm laughing now because they paid some PR firm a certain sum of money to come up with that, Ill bet.

Actually, these are two different logos for the same school. They are apparently using the M for the helmets. According to the release, they paid $18,000 for the design.

found this comparison of the old and new logos, I'm guessing Michigan had something something to say about the block M being changed . I read on their message board that logos are required to have more than 2 colors so they had to add the white beard to the bobcat.

interesting that Montana STATE uses a block M, but University of Montana does not.

Yes, and it probably doesn't do much to boost our position against OSU.

Ohio State's use of an O does not bother me nearly as much as their obsession with simply referring to themselves as "Ohio."  I think that all things that infringe on our brand, ID etc. from Columbus are extra annoying because they use our most basic identity so much. I think of that whenever I see vintage pictures of Jesse Owens etc.

One of my southern relatives provided one of the best comments I've heard yet regarding the block O as well as an argument for Ohio using interlocking O and U (one of my favorite logos).

Upon seeing my friends block O cap, a local in NC said:  "Hey, buddy, who drives that 0 car?"
