The P5 never remember's and frankly, the examples are fewer than the rule.

Tulane was once in the SEC, and in fact, they have more SEC Championships than Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, or Vanderbilt.

How the G5 champs fared in bowl games this season:
American champ SMU lost to unranked Boston College.
CUSA champ Liberty lost by 39 to #Oregon.
MAC champ MOFO lost to unranked Ap8p State.
MWC champ Boise lost to unranked UCLA.
Sun Belt champ Troy lost to unranked Duke.
0-5. The only close games were vs unranked opponents. Doesn't bode well for next season, when G5 champs will face Top Ten opponents in the first round of the playoffs.

So-called "Liberty" didn't make much of a case on the field, did they?
Tez Johnson had 11 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown, part of a 584-yard afternoon by Oregon during their 45 points in a row explosion.
Oregon could have easily scored several more times.

"Liberty" is doing more sports-washing than Saudi Arabia.

So-called "Liberty" has a 99% acceptance rate and is ranked in the very very lowest of the lowest colleges by the respected U S News & World Report.
Look up the 2021 comprehensive report describing how Liberty mishandled claims of sex abuse and sex harassment on campus and used its strict code of conduct, the so-called "Liberty Way" against victims of sex abuse.
Apologists for the "school" must be terribly proud.

Hell, Fallwell Jr’s own wife was among the abusers.

They hired former Baylor AD Ian McCaw. That tells me all I need to know.

I am not sure what is the purpose of this thread other than to show hate towards Liberty. However, if the premise is that Liberty's result is a strong argument for excluding the G5 from the national title playoffs, then applying that logic a strong argument could be made that the entire ACC should no longer be considered a P5 conference and should also be excluded from the playoffs just like the G5 schools. Liberty's loss is nowhere near the 63-3 beatdown that Florida State took at the hands of Georgia. Talk about an embarrassment of major proportions, especially when FSU people still believe they should have been in the playoffs this year. And while we are at it, Ohio State did a nice job of showing just how weak they are in their loss to Missouri.

Mizzou is the #8 ranked team in America. They beat ranked teams like Kansas State, Kentucky, Tennessee (beat them by 30) as well as wins over Arkansas (by 34) and Florida. Yet Ohio State's depleted roster held them scoreless for three quarters even though Mizzou was at nearly full strength. In what universe is that "weak" - ?? Ohio State had wins at 9th ranked Notre Dame and 7th ranked Penn State. They were 22 seconds away from ending Michigan's season in Ann Arbor. In what universe does that equal "weak" - ??
Ohio State's third string could beat so-called "Liberty" by 50.

Here you go:
https://www.liberty.edu/finance-admin/donations
/
They might need your donation as Falwell Jr has an $8.5 million dollar retirement fund. Your donation is also still tax deductible to Liberty where it may not be to OHIO
