Since the UMass coach has gone out on a limb and forecast that UMass would be a top team in the NE in the next 10 years , I will do likewise and say Ohio will be a top team in SE Ohio in the next 10 years. What a joke! Are newspapers so hard up that they are publishing this type of meaningless garbage?

So the Northeast is...Syracuse, Rutgers, Boston College, UConn, and UMASS? Yeah, thats a pretty easy group to dominate now that Rutgers and UConn seem to have regressed back to their means.

Don't be too hard on him.  Remember, UMass is still worse than Harvard, Brown, New Hampshire, Maine and maybe Bryant.  And that's just the 1AA schools.  I'm sure there are some DII and DIII schools up there that are better than UMass.

I wouldn't count Rutgers in the NE.  Jersey is mid-Atlantic.

The NE is New England and the Mid-Atlantic combined. Mid-Atlantic is NY,  (Eastern) PA, NJ, and by some definitions, DE and MD. The Northeast Corridor, for example, is Washington, DC to Boston.
