There's no doubt they are a very good team.  But they also have problems in early-season games.  Last year they barely beat FIU and Southern Miss, and two years ago they followed a lackluster home win vs Murray St with losses to FIU and Terd.  PSU had a lot of distractions last year and were running on emotion for the early part of last year's game, which ran out in the 2nd Q.  These things shouldn't be factors vs L'ville.  We can win but we need to cut down on our mistakes and cause turnovers.

I am very familiar with The Galt House, and yes (in my opinion) it is a little old and run down.

There are some who still view it as a premier hotel in downtown Louisville, but I think this is more out of tradition. It is broken into two towers on separate sides of the street, one of which I do not think has been updated since sometime in the 70's.

It is not a bad place, just not the premier place some see it as. You might want to look into other options as well...

This may sound like a fish story, but it's true:
I was at the Kentucky Derby a few years back for a work assignment and I stayed at the Galt House. Within a span of about an hour, I rode in the elevator with Dr. J, saw Michael Jordan and his entourage check in, saw Spike Lee walking down my hallway, and saw John Salley, Tom Brady, one of the Williams sisters and Alyssa Milano in the Galt House lobby.

I'm pretty certain all of them were staying there. Plus, it is right down the street from Fourth Street Live -- a really great section of downtown.

Please don't compare this year's Louisville squad to last year's Penn State squad.  Louisville is much better.

That said, if we're healthy, I expect a fight.

This may be the next-to-last college football game on the day before Labor Day, at least on ESPN.  They got the rights to the US Open tennis tourney beginning in '15 and that's held over Labor Day weekend.  They might move football to 2 or U.

Ugh! I'd think, or certainly HOPE, that football is a better ratings draw than tennis!
