Man I'd love to own that shirt. It just gets at the core of the problem in so many ways.
OU didn't know -
I actually own that green and white shirt you designed. I've only seen it one other time out in public. It pretty much always gets a comment when I wear it. You did a great job. It's a piece of clothing I won't part with. Out of curiosity, how many did you make?
I made zero, so I'm guessing you probably got one of the bootleg ones off of Ebay? There was some guy on there trying to sell them but I got Ebay to remove his account and a few other postings.
As Tyler said, the legal issues stem primarily from the representation of Brutus and the copyright of the photographer. Universitees contacted the company that handles licensing for OSU and they said there was no way it would get cleared.
I might print some for myself, friends, and some attackers, but I can't print them in mass scale and sell them without getting sued. Sucked too. Literally in like two days of that mock-up being posted here, it was being re-tweeted, was on a couple different websites, and was all over facebook. Based on all the people that said they wanted one, I could have ordered 500 and sold all of them instantly without pushing it or advertising, so I was pretty sure I was about to sell a ton once the initial ones got out there. Oh well. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything different.
