announced that it will have concerts before all home games. They're Oct. 5 homecoming game vs. EMU will feature at 10 a.m. performance by Kool & the Gang (the game is scheduled for noon and for some reason will be on ESPN3). So you come for the music and stay for the football?
Actually I think this is a great idea and one that would work here too. SE Ohio is a bit of a music hotbed these days (Fur Peace Ranch, Stuart's Opera House, Nelsonville Music Festival). There are only so many folks in the area so the addition of
quality music to the game day atmospshere might actually attract some non-traditional football fans. For years, Lou's band played in tailgate park before the game. Why not take it to the next level (no offense to Backwords) and pay for a nice sound system and stage?
