I thought they usually do Halloween the weekend after Oct. 31, which would be @Buffalo. After the Lou-La quasi-fiasco, I don't see another home game on Halloween weekend. Especially Fiami.

That would place Halloween in November most years...which it never has been that I know of.

When it comes to the MAC schedule, I'm not sure we have much say. We have to play when and where they tell us to. Hopefully we avoid the Halloween game more often than not moving forward.

hopefully we'll be 7-0 and ranked again.

this might be petting a burning dog but I'd like to see us play an afternoon home game every halloween, encourage all the students to come in costume, get ESPN involved, really play up the whole event.

or it could be the worst idea ever.

You are correct. I was a student when it was in November. And it was cold, apparently. I had a fantastic "coat" so I didn't particularly notice.

I agree 100%, even about the worst idea ever part.

Its the worst idea ever IF our football team is bad.
If our football team is good. 5-2, 6-1. We are in business.
If our football team is 7-0. Gameday.

From there I searched some keywords (halloween, ohio, miami, athens) on twitter and I saw a very excited reaction to the realization of the date of this game.

The KEY is that our football team is good. If we lose a couple games, this will be a disaster. No one will show like 2010. If we are 1 loss this will be the greatest atmosphere at a football game in school history. If we are undefeated, good lord.

I'll be there for Halloween... Marshall plays Thursday so I might actually catch the Miami - OU game... since they are both common opponents for The Herd.

It wasn't just that no one showed in 2010. The vibe from the crowd that day was just weird....like people went to the game but didn't know/care about what was actually happening on the field. Fiami hate hopefully negates that.
