My son bought me some new gear downtown Athens. Not the hat you are referring to but some of the sweetest gear i have ever seen. Can t wait to get to Athens and find this place. He bought a sweet new cap there. I would put a pic up but that is one ugly mug under the hat.

my buddies and I saw that same hat and and thought the same thing...damn that's sweet.  At a closer look it seemed to be the outline of the state with 110 incorporated into it... so my guess is somewhere through the 110....if thats the case, then please count me in on another that would love to get this hat...hell...I am still waiting to pull the trigger on the MAC champ hat from Cleveland...I know...tight ass me not wanting to drop 20 bones on a hat.

I can say from experience it's not through the 110.  Any 110 merch would have the diamond Ohio.  This appears to be the same concept but with the rounded O's.  If I'm not mistaken, wasn't this a prominent symbol some years ago?

Here's a link to a post article with helmets through the years.  This hat looks a lot like the 67 - 72 helmets.  Reminds me of something you'd see at the county fair.  Sorry, not a big fan of that look.

That's definitely the vintage "circle ohio" from the late sixties/early seventies.  Not currently available at College Book Store I'm afraid.  (Although there are vintage helmet Under Armour tee shirts at The House) Being worn on the sideline I'm thinking it's probably direct from Russell. We'll inquire about that, I noticed them on TV and thought they looked pretty retro-cool myself.

Can now purchase this hat at the College Bookstore website... It's also available in the store uptown when I stopped by today.  There is actually an amazing selection of quality Bobcat gear from Nike, Under Armour, and Russell available.  Best I've ever seen!
