There is some nice footage of the Defensive linemen in drills on
Arkley's blog. A big determinant of how Ohio's season goes will be determined by how quickly the defensive line comes together. With guys like Huynh, Carl Jones, and Tremayne Scott gone, the defensive line coach will be earning his pay this year. There are a lot of new faces, including two Juco's (McLeod, Tautuaiki), and a load of freshmen (Aloese, Porter, Sayles, Smart, and Bashum).
After watching these drills, I see some real quickness out there. Big guys like McLeod, Tautuiaki, and Purdum show they have some quickness despite toting ~290 lb, and the DEs are even quicker. I think this group is going to just fine, and by the end of the year the d-line will be a strength. They need to get good fast, though.
