I was watching the practice videos for Ohio camp and I could help noticing at the 1:00 minute mark of practice in Peden that new banners adorn the brick wall. I was expecting to see the Independence Bowl banner up but under closer observation there are not 5 banners for the Solich bowls but 7 banners for every game that Ohio has participated in. What are they going to do next year after we make a bowl again in 2013? I'm not sure there is enough room along the wall for an 8th bowl banner.

I've been reassured by my sources that the impending Peden expansion will create room for more banners.

Impending? How soon? Will we get to 40,000? 50,000? Is this official?

Really, my friend?

Repeat after me: There is no expansion. There won't be for the next 20 years.

Renovation? Maybe...but no way Peden gets expanded.

I predict that Peden will see an expansion before Cincinnati come to play here at Ohio in 2020. That is 7 years out. 7 years ago, people were saying we'd never have an indoor practice facility. They were also saying Ohio would never be ranked in the Top 25 and that'd we would never win a bowl game

Welcome to the future.

The only upgrade that is on the drawing boards - and it's still in the future - is a coat of paint for the place.  Rust, weeds and mildew everywhere.

Hell we'll be division II by then.  Or wherever the Big Ten wants us to end up....

Love the banners though.

It's too bad for the big ten that they're starting to look like a d II conference compared to the Pac-12, SEC, ACC, Big 12...

I assumed they were going to continue the banners to the sister wall on the home side of the field.

I like them but, on second thought, wouldn't it have been strategically and artfully beneficial to leave "Champion" off the last two?  Clearly, the next question is "What about the other 5"?  Runner-up?

Agree. It says "2-5" to me.
