Probably 3 days without pads and then some contact work. I read where the contact at practice will be curtailed in order prevent injury.

I noticed the first scrimmage on August 14th (wed.) at 1:30 or so.

Are we still allowed in on practice and scrimmages?

I'd love to make this one.

Arkley tweeted Landon and Sebastian Smith looked sharp today at wideout after those serious leg injuries last year. That's awesome. I had my doubts, but this is great news. It seems like it would be tough to bounce back so quickly as a wide receiver from that type of injury.

Also word that OL Johnson and McGrath looked healthy as well. Some good news coming off the wire.

P.S.

There is no doubt Carrie has his eyes on the NFL. And rightfully so.

Practices always have been open to the public, as of last year. I doubt that has changed this season.

Coach looks very relaxed and comfortable. If he's not worried, I'm not worried.

Awesome news in Arkley's blog - he has a very favorable review of the one mystery spot, DT, and reports that all the new guys look good. The Day 4 video reports, no surprise, that the secondary is the best ever. How many seconday's in the country can report 8 returning starters at DB? That's what you end up with after all the injuries:
CB - Carrie, Shaw, Fisher, Wells (Bass may have started a game as well)
S - Hughes, Kristoff, Ingoll
NB - Carpenter

Looks like Fisher will be out the first two games for suspension, hopefully our depth will minimize the loss.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they redshirted him, which would then leave 2 more years each for Wells, Fisher, and Bass.

This tweet from Arkley makes me happy.

"Fr. Casey Sayes getting work at both DE/TE. "I can't think too many freshmen in the country are going both ways" - TE coach @BrianHainesb"
