Never expected to be a Dabo fan, but here we are. NCAA is a crazy place.
Players aren't leaving, so there isn't really room to transfer in. Just recruiting and keeping his guys. And graduating them.
"In turn, the Tigers’ most recent graduation rate was 99 percent, the highest ever recorded among public Power Five football program since the NCAA began tracking the metric.
In a perfect world, this is exactly what you’d want out of a college football coach and program. Player commits to the coach and the coach commits to the player. The team is the team. Everyone gets a degree."

Not gonna sit well with fans when they don't improve their roster and keep up with the Joneses and have to stomach another 9-3 type season after being on the National Championship doorstep for half a decade. Ooorrrr maybe we're just seeing how good Dabo really is without a generational talent playing quarterback.

The natives are already restless. The national championships are fading and the stellar graduation rate is not viewed as a replacement. folks calling in to local talk radio (i know. they are generally as rational as those that post on message boards) feel Dabo is being stubborn and contrarian because fans are questioning him (a cardinal sin in his mind) and jumping off the bandwagon. yeah. another year of 3-4 losses including to the UNC, Virginias and wakes of the conference and a mutual divorce will be on the table.

There are many reasons to root against Dabo. Many.
However, this gives me a reason to root for him. A little bit.

I hope they improve and have success so this becomes a model to follow and not a cautionary tale.
