Yahoo's Ross Dellenger is reporting that the CFP is headed toward a revenue model in which the Big Two (Big Ten and SEC) would receive a substantially higher amount of revenue than the Big XII and ACC; approximately $300M more.

Big Ten/SEC: ~58%
ACC/Big XII: ~31%
Notre Dame and Group of Five Conferences: ~10%

And some of y'all still wanna be part of this?

Is it still financially responsible for Notre Dame to be independent? Seems like they should head towards the Big Ten. Also, this just fuels Florida State's desire to leave the ACC I imagine.

It's almost forcing Notre Dame's hand and their new AD is none other than NBC Sports Chairman Pete Bevacqua. With the Big Ten's new NBC deal, the pieces are just falling into place for them to join that league. They keep saying they want to maintain independence for scheduling long rivalry games (USC, Stanford, Navy, etc), but now that USC is in the Big Ten it makes that a little easier to swallow.

Look at the quality of the Big12 and ACC, why should it be equal? They need to earn it. Like it or not, but the SEC and Big10 are simply the best and deepest conferences.

Money is not a guiding concern for Notre Dame. They don't chase money. Money chases them.
