People here would lose their mind, but the ACC is playing 8 Thursday and Friday games. The good planning on their part is those games were just announced, but should be some of their better games.

ACC has to do something because they are lagging behind SEC, BIG, and maybe the Big 12/whatever they have now.

Weren't they already playing some Thursday and Friday games? It's mainly because they have too damn many teams to play all their games on Saturdays without having bunches of games in the same time slot.

At least they're not wandering into the MAC's coveted Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Not yet.

And I'm pretty certain other conferences already did.

I think this just means they're upping their scales on how many they're playing. Thursday night games really got its start in Big East and ACC games a while back. Remember Matt Ryan puking on the sidelines when he played for Boston College? Pretty sure that was a Thursday game. Hell a Thursday night in Blacksburg against VaTech was the toughest place to play not too long ago.

I seem to remember the MAC getting whacky with games on Sunday Night at one point.
