This guy is an idiot. Picks the Bobcats 3rd in the East with Buffalo No. 1, Tettleton not mentioned in the top 3 passers and Carrie not mentioned in the top 3 defensive backs in the MAC. Sorry no link but its today's on line article.

Buffalo does have a lot coming back on offense (Zordich and Oliver) and arguably the best defensive player in the league in Khalil Mack. They also get both Ohio and BG at home. If there is another team in the East to win the Division that's not named Ohio or BG, I would say Buffalo first too.

It's Elton Alexander, so I'm not really shocked.

He was busy - Here are a few articles:
Archer for Heisman
Top 3 players at various positions (TT #2 running QBs, Blankenship #3 RB)
Ball State, Buffalo are favorites

In the last article, he demonstrates his level of knowledge of Bobcat football, when he says

OU lost four of its last five in 2012 as tough games late exposed a soft early schedule. Team seemed to lose its chemistry in the process.

Hmm, was it a soft early schedule, with cupcakes like Penn State and Marshall? Was it a loss of chemistry? Or, did losing 11 starters, and 16 of the top 44 players to injury, plus injuries to other players, like TT, who continued to play, have something to do with it?

He's definitely going outside the box with his picks of Buffalo and Ball State. I do agree that Ball State is a team that has a shot of winning the MAC West, though. To me NIU, Toledo, and Ball State all have a good shot at it.

Apparently, our key game is at Akron.

I honestly think that a goodly number of sportswriters don't even know that Travis is still on the team.  In the preseason articles I've seen, few mention him but those who do rank Ohio much higher than those who don't.  Let's hope L'ville is just as ignorant as people like Elton Alexander.

It is not a coincidence Buffalo is playing Ohio State Week 1.
